Discount = Original × Discount% ÷ 100
Final Price = Original − Discount

A ₹2,000 item with a 25% discount: Discount = 2000 × 25 ÷ 100 = ₹500. Final Price = 2000 − 500 = ₹1,500.

Discounts are usually advertised as a percentage off, but the rupee amount you actually save depends on the original price — 20% off a ₹5,000 item saves far more than 20% off a ₹500 item. This calculator also works in reverse: if a shop only shows the original and sale price, switching to the "I know the sale price" tab tells you exactly what discount percentage was applied, which is handy for comparing deals across different stores.
